The Best Mobile Processor
These processors are made to cater for the need of a smartphone user. Moreover, they are programmed to handle computation tasks, voice calling, image construction, camera calibration, and cellular networking. Quite frankly, they are the intelligent mobile processor of the coming generation, and that’s why today’s mobile processors are called System-on-Chip (SoC). However, these SoCs are so complex that they require additional testing to identify essential advancements in the processor performance, i.e. Benchmarking.
AnTuTu scores your SoC on various parameters. Their in-house algorithm tests your system chip and provides an overall score. So naturally, the higher the score, the better the performance is. For example, e.g. a processor with 4,00,000 scores will perform twice as fast compared to an SoC with 2,00,000 scores. However, AnTuTu has not mentioned any set standard for their scores.
The key takeaway here is that if gaming, video editing and heavy multitasking are what make up your primary smartphone usage, the top grade highest-scoring chipsets are the way to go.
However, if you are a casual user who does not impose that much pressure on devices, and just requires seamless browsing, texting and content-viewing experience, any of the 70-100 scoring chipsets from the list should be enough. The 55-70 scoring processors are not bad either, but they may lack some performance here and there, that’s why I’m going to recommend it only if you are on a tight budget.
